Spill Kit for Oil & Diesel

Description

Diesel and oil spills cause irreparable damage to the environment and present a very serious hazard to those near the spill. The flammable nature of oils makes it necessary to have a spill action plan in the rare event a spillage does occur. Doing so will ensure a quick, effective and safe clean up of the offending spill. Safechem Oil Spill Kit is supplied in a Plastic Carry Bag providing a quick response solution for laboratories, stores, warehouses and vehicles, perfect for containing small spills. Use the spillage kit to keep spillage out of critical areas such as waterways, sewers, and other areas that could be considered confined.

Directions: work from the outer most point of spill first to contain the spill, working inwards. The rate of oil spread will always be greatest on a downward slope so it is very important to get in front of the spread. Protect and cover drains, ditches or rainwater catchment areas. Once the spill is contained and ignition sources are eliminated, attempt to physically stop the leak at its source if it can be done safely. Remove all contaminated soiling and spillage kit materials and place in the plastic bag provided for disposal at an approved waste transfer station.
