Rust converter is a heavy duty chemical primer that can be applied directly to an iron or iron alloy surface to convert rust (iron oxides) into a protective barrier which can be over painted. The formulation reacts with rust to convert it to a stable compound that is resistant to water vapour and bacterial growth. Treated surfaces can be painted with either water based or oil based paints. Coverage is approx. 6 to 8 square meters per litre
