The product is suitable for use in a CMX Clean Machine. It can also be used on a cloth for manual cleaning. Acetone may also be used as a thinner for fiberglass resin and cleaning fiberglass tools. Acetone is an effective solvent for many plastics and some synthetic fibres. It can be used for thinning polyester resin and dissolving two part epoxy and superglue deposits before they harden. It may be used as a heavy duty degreaser and it is useful in the preparation of metal prior to painting and to remove rosin flux after soldering Acetone also thins polyester resins, vinyl and adhesives. It easily removes residues from glass and porcelain.
Domestic applications include the cleaning of model train and car tracks solving the problem of dirty tracks when used in conjunction with plastic wheeled rolling stock. Acetone may damage some plastics or remove colour from materials so always test a small area prior to general application. This product is flammable.
